How grading works
Printing, photos, QR codes, uploads, and working without a constant connection.
No. You can print assignments on a regular home or office printer. After students finish, scan the pages with a standard scanner or take photos with a phone.
The important part is that the full page, text, and QR code are clearly visible.
Yes. A dedicated scanner is not required — aiTeacher accepts photos of student work.
For the best result, capture the whole page in good light and avoid strong glare, shadows, and motion blur.
Yes. The system can recognize handwritten student answers.
When a fragment cannot be read confidently, recognition should not invent the student's answer: uncertain text is marked as ambiguous and needs teacher attention.
The QR code lets the system identify which assessment, attempt, and page an upload belongs to. This makes batch uploads practical because pages can be routed to the correct student attempt without manual sorting.
The primary automated workflow is designed for papers prepared through aiTeacher with QR codes. Long answers, essays, and creative written tasks are supported when they are part of such an assessment.
Arbitrary pages without QR codes and oral answers are not the primary automated routing workflow.
No. You can print, complete, photograph, or scan assignments offline.
You need internet to upload work and view results. Once uploaded, processing continues in the background, so the page does not need to stay open.
AI and teacher control
How scores are prepared, what happens when AI is wrong, and who makes the final decision.
AI recognizes answers, evaluates them against grading criteria, and prepares a preliminary result with feedback.
The teacher keeps control of grading and can review and adjust the result. aiTeacher speeds up the first pass; the final decision remains with the educator.
The teacher can review the recognized answer, score, and feedback and adjust the result when needed. AI is used as a grading assistant, not as a replacement for professional teacher judgment.
Yes. Automated results can be reviewed and corrected. Teachers can change both the score and feedback when they believe the answer should be assessed differently.
Yes. aiTeacher supports custom criteria and marking schemes. This is especially useful for extended responses, essays, and tasks where reasoning, argument quality, or multiple aspects of an answer matter.
aiTeacher uses AI as a tool for the educator, while the educator retains control of the final result. Students can access the results and feedback that have been made available to them.
Result visibility is controlled by the teacher. While results are hidden, the student cannot open them; the teacher can show or hide assessment results from the results workspace.
Subjects and capabilities
Languages, written task formats, criteria, classes, and subjects.
No. The platform is not limited to questions with one exact answer. It can work with short and extended written responses, language tasks, essays, and other work that can be assessed against clear criteria.
Yes. The current recognition and analysis pipeline supports Russian, Kazakh, and English.
Yes. A teacher can work with multiple student groups in one account and keep them organized separately.
Yes. A single teacher account can work with multiple subjects, groups, and assessments.
Structured written work with clear criteria works best: tests, short answers, worked problems, extended responses, and essays. Clear source images and well-defined criteria directly help produce more reliable results.
Credits and plans
Trial access, credit usage, top-ups, plan changes, and Enterprise.
Credits are based on the actual AI processing performed. Usage is not a fixed amount “per student” or “per page”; it depends on the volume and complexity of the material and the AI operations required.
A short paper will usually use fewer resources than a long paper with many extended answers.
Yes. Teachers receive 60 trial credits for 14 days after registration. You can use them to run a real workflow: prepare an assessment, upload student work, and review the result.
You do not have to wait for the next allowance window. You can buy additional credits at any time and continue working. Purchased credits are accounted for separately from subscription-included credits.
Plans with a weekly included allowance provide a new allowance for each weekly window. The exact amount depends on your plan.
Credits included with a subscription belong to their allowance window and are not intended to accumulate indefinitely. Additional purchased credits are tracked separately and have their own validity terms shown with the purchase.
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately with a prorated charge for the remaining part of the current period. Downgrades take effect from the next billing period.
Yes. If your current plan features are enough but you temporarily need more grading capacity, you can buy additional credits without switching subscriptions.
Individual teachers may use referral offers and discounts for inviting colleagues. If a school needs shared budgeting, centralized management, and credit allocation across teachers, Enterprise is the appropriate option.
Yes. Enterprise is designed for schools, tutoring centers, and other organizations, with centralized management, a shared credit pool, and credit allocation across staff. Commercial terms are arranged individually.
Speed and large classes
Batch uploads, processing queues, and high-load periods.
Processing time depends on page count, task complexity, handwriting volume, and current system load. Processing runs in the background, so teachers do not need to keep the grading page open.
Yes. Batch upload is a core workflow. QR codes help identify each page and route it to the correct student attempt automatically.
Uploaded work is processed through a background job queue. If capacity is busy, the job remains queued and continues without requiring the teacher to upload the file again. Available concurrency depends on the plan.
Students and parents
What students and parents can see and who can change results.
Once the teacher makes results visible, a student can see only their own available results and feedback. Other students' work and results are not accessible.
After the parent-child relationship is confirmed, a parent can access only the linked student's supported results, progress, and learning reports. They do not receive access to other students' data.
No. They can view results available to them, but grading remains under teacher control. If a student disagrees, the platform provides an appeal workflow and the teacher decides the outcome.
Security and data
Access to papers, data protection, and use of uploaded materials.
Access to information is restricted by user roles and relationships inside the platform. Data is transmitted over protected connections, and the Privacy Policy describes the rules for processing, storage, and deletion.
Student work is not public. Access depends on user permissions and the relationship to a specific student, group, or organization. Students cannot view other students' work, and parents do not receive access to unrelated children.
Under the current Privacy Policy, uploaded materials are used to perform the requested processing and are not sent to public cloud repositories for training global neural-network models.
Subscription and data after cancellation
Cancellation, exports, retention, and account deletion.
Cancellation turns off automatic renewal. The already-paid period remains active until its end date, and automatic renewal can be enabled again before the current period ends.
No. Subscription cancellation and account deletion are separate actions. Results and files remain subject to the active retention rules and plan features. Account deletion uses a separate process.
Yes. The platform provides export capabilities for user data and results. Available export formats depend on the feature and plan, so you can save important data before deleting an account.
Yes. Account deletion is a separate process. Export anything you need to keep before deleting the account, because deletion is different from simply cancelling a subscription.
